Tommy Green’s New Book Is Here — Red Light Mercy

Red Light Mercy connects our present-day struggle against human trafficking with the lives of two remarkable saints from the Christian tradition.

At the center of the story is Saint Vitalis, a humble monk known as the patron saint of day laborers and prostitutes. When Tommy first learned about his life, he felt deeply connected to his witness and asked that Saint Vitalis become the patron saint of this book.

Through reflections on the lives of Saint Vitalis and Saint John the Merciful, the Bishop of Alexandria, Tommy explores themes of mercy, compassion, repentance, dignity, and sacrificial love. These stories are woven together with Tommy and Krissi Green’s experiences in counter-trafficking work, creating a powerful meditation on seeing the image of God in every person and responding to suffering with action.
